Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-21. This is an operational draft, not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal advice. Licensed counsel must review it before public launch and after material product or law changes.

ErrandHelp is designed to collect only the information needed to help customers describe errands, receive safe guidance, connect with verified providers, schedule work, and resolve disputes.

Information we collect

  • Account details such as name, email address, phone number, authentication identifiers, and role.
  • Errand request details such as description, category, approximate location, photos you choose to upload, urgency, skill level, and provider handoff context.
  • Provider verification details such as identity status, background-check consent/status, license and insurance review status, service radius, ratings, and response behavior.
  • Marketplace data such as offers, schedules, messages, ratings, disputes, support tickets, safety reports, and audit events.
  • Technical data such as device/browser type, approximate region, IP-derived abuse signals, logs, and cookie or local-storage preferences.
  • Private Invest settings, consent records, broker connection status, order approvals, and jurisdiction—never brokerage credentials returned to the browser.
  • Care requests, requested qualifications, availability, safety boundaries, and consent records. Users should not submit medical records or details unnecessary for matching.
  • Travel cost-sharing destinations, date ranges, expense categories, mutual-interest status, safety reports, and agreed split terms. Exact lodging details should remain private until users choose to share them.

How we use information

  • To operate the Errand product, including safety triage, guided fixes, provider matching, offers, scheduling, ratings, and support.
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, unsafe activity, spam, harassment, and unauthorized access.
  • To verify providers and protect customers, including reviewing credentials, background-check status, insurance documents, and reported issues.
  • To improve product reliability, pricing, marketplace quality, and customer support.
  • To comply with legal, tax, marketplace, safety, and dispute obligations.

AI and data handling

Errand may use approved AI systems to classify requests, generate safe guided-fix drafts, summarize handoff context, rank provider options, or support travel planning. Safety exclusions run before AI guidance. We do not sell personal data to AI vendors. Where possible, we route only the minimum context needed for the task.

Care and travel-sharing safeguards

Caregiver and travel-sharing information is used only to operate, secure, support, and improve those workflows, satisfy applicable obligations, and investigate reports. AI may redact, summarize, organize, rank, or flag content, but does not diagnose a care recipient, determine provider qualifications, verify truth, or declare a traveler trustworthy or compatible. Identity and background checks reduce risk but do not guarantee conduct or safety.

Location and addresses

Errand uses country, state, and optional city for browsing, jurisdiction checks, Circles, and provider matching. Precise device location is off by default and should be requested only with a just-in-time choice. Exact addresses should be requested only after a customer chooses to schedule or accept work, limited to the people who need them, and never shown publicly.

Consent and retention

We record the agreement type, version, acceptance choice, account, country, time, browser information, and an abuse-prevention network signal. Consent can be withdrawn where applicable, but withdrawal does not invalidate prior processing and some fraud, safety, transaction, tax, dispute, or legal records may need to be retained. Retention schedules must be configured by data category and jurisdiction.

International and state-specific rights

Privacy rights and lawful bases differ by country and state. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy, object, restrict, appeal, or withdraw consent. ErrandHelp must honor applicable request timelines and provide any required regional notices before launching in that region.

Sharing

We share customer request context with providers only when needed to quote, schedule, perform, support, or dispute a job. We may share information with infrastructure, payment, verification, background-check, communication, analytics, hosting, and support vendors under appropriate contracts.

Your choices and rights

  • Request access to personal data associated with your account.
  • Request correction of inaccurate profile or request details.
  • Request deletion, subject to fraud, safety, dispute, tax, and legal-retention requirements.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing communications.
  • Request a copy of your consent and privacy-request history.

Children

Errand is not intended for children under 18. Users should not create accounts, request services, or offer services unless they are legally able to enter binding agreements.
